3) The language in the final chapter was also not necessary. However, since the Righteous One comes to us on earth, so, too, does the devil. Also enjoyable for those of us who just want a good story about subterfuge and surviving years in prison, only to emerge as a top corporate leader despite a precipitous fall from grace.. Interesting advice because while many would assume that this would mean quitting the day job to invest time and energy to your dream in order to find success, Simmons reccommends keeping that day job AND working on the dream. Similarly, once the plot has run its course, it is difficult to continue the story without breaking the spell. Still, I am pleased I have the book.. You don't affect change that way.
2) The political undertones were not needed or helpful. It can also be an invaluable reference book when a particular issue arises that needs attention; as such, this book has a superb index. I've been buying this
