Glad it was only 99 cents! This is NOT A STUDY GUIDE. Sassy heroine, hard headed heroes dangerous villains a little mystery. He should have called this book, "The Rolling Stones are the Best Band Ever, and Nobody Can Appreciate Music As Well as I Can." That would be more apt.
The whole book seems not only to be an apportunity to show off his nomenclature, but to refute statements made by an Amiri Baraka, whom he spends several chapters arguing against. That this book won a contest doesn't surprise me. This book is so good that a few flaws that are in it aren't really disturbing at all.. However, the book is written to be studied by graduate students, rather than being professionally developed for teaching in classrooms (unlike e.g. Car lovers and curious travelers will enjoy it too.. GREAT BOOK---EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE HOPED. Perhaps it will be in Olen's next book.
